For your peace of mind, these Sampling Tubes are purged in an oven with 99.95% pure Nitrogen at 200°C for one hour prior to despatch. Protective gloves are worn during the handling of tubes at all times, to minimise potential virus transfer risks.

BSAVA Sponsored Anaesthetic Gas Monitoring Scheme
Coltronics Systems Ltd operates the Anaesthetic Gas Monitoring Scheme and has since May 1998. The COSHH Regulations require any organisations using Anaesthetic Agents to regularly check that the waste gas levels are within a specific limit when based on an 8-hour Time Weighted Average.
The maximum legal occupational exposure limits for the most common agents used by veterinary professionals are:
- Halothane 10ppm
- Isoflurane 50ppm
- Sevoflurane 60ppm
- Nitrous Oxide 100ppm
These limits are based on an 8-hour Time Weighted Average (TWA). The Health and Safety Executive recommends routine testing every 14 months, however, annual testing is more manageable.

Monitoring Service
Monitoring service costs per sampling tube are:
BSAVA Member – £30.60 + VAT
Non-Member – £58.60 + VAT
We issue VAT invoices for all transactions, and they can be provided at your request. Payments can be made in the form of a cheque, card or through BACS. On receipt of payment, the sample tubes will be sent via recorded delivery, directly to your site.
We have an annual automated testing reminder and offer annual service contracts for Veterinary Corporates.
